  • Established a Grievance Receiving Center at BMET; appointed a Legal Support Officer.
  • Formed Grievance Management Committees (GMCs) for community-based dispute resolution.
  • Submitted a Shadow Report to the UN Committee on Migrant Workers (26th Session); delivered an oral statement in Geneva with MFA support.
  • Co-chair of Bangladesh Civil Society Coordination Committee (BCSCC) for organizing People’s Global Action (PGA) on Migration, Development and Human Rights.
  • Supported organization of GFMD Civil Society Days in Bangladesh.

        • Initiated national campaign for the ratification of the UN Convention on Migrant Rights (1990). Submitted a memorandum to the Government; Bangladesh signed the Convention in October 1998.
        • Led the first observance of December 18 in solidarity with migrants and their families. Continued advocacy until official recognition in 2009.
