Join Our Team as an Intern
WARBE DF internships offer a unique opportunity for undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate students to gain valuable experience in an important and dynamic area of development and human rights. Since its inception in 1997, WARBE DF has worked with interns hailing from countries around the world and from a variety of academic backgrounds. Internships are ideal for those interested in researching issues concerning migrants' rights and development.
Currently, WARBE DF has successfully partnered with the University of Victoria's Centre for Asia-Pacific Initiatives in offering six-month internships to Canadian undergraduates studying in the field of international development and human rights.
Internship Details
Internships last approximately five to six months and are available during two sessions:
- Winter/Spring Session: January 15th to July 15th
- Summer/Fall Session: July 15th to January 15th
There is some flexibility of internship start and end dates. Applicants should inform WARBE DF in their cover letter of dates when they are available for an internship. For example, during the Summer/Fall session, it is not unusual for interns to request to end their internship in time to return home for winter holidays.
At WARBE DF's head office in Dhaka, the typical work week lasts from Sunday to Thursday; office hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM. Successful applicants can expect a warm reception on behalf of WARBE DF staff and will be assisted in finding accommodation and establishing themselves in Dhaka.
At this time, WARBE DF does not offer paid internships.
